Auto Frame Repair

Car, Truck & Jeep Frame Repair in Milwaukee, WI

Your vehicle’s frame may be the least thought-of part of your car, but despite its status as an overlooked component, it’s critical to your car’s overall performance. It’s usually the most critical repair after a collision, and damage to your car’s frame can make your vehicle dangerous and inoperable.

Frame damage happens most often in accidents, but you have to keep on eye of the frame over time--rust can work its way into the rails and frame components, and the sooner you get it fixed, the better. If you drive off road or carry large payloads, you might need some frame realignment sooner than later, but we can take care of that in a cost-efficient and timely manner.

Give us a call if you’ve been in an accident or if you need auto frame repair. Our technicians are experienced and skilled, and we can diagnose your frame’s problems and get them fixed quickly. Ewald Collision Repair Center makes it easy to resolve the damage from your accident.

Car Frame Repair - the Process

Once an accident occurs, you will need an assessment for two things: the extent of the damage to your vehicle’s frame, and how much it will cost to repair that damage. Our auto body frame machine can give accurate estimations of both.

The most advanced frame machines uses lasers and sensors to figure out the extent to which a frame is damaged. They read angles and check the intersections of various frame rails. The car is placed on a rotating platform and anchored into place, and the machine can get to work making its assessment.

If frame repair is deemed necessary, various chains and clamps are positioned at the trouble areas, and they gradually apply more and more pressure until the out-of-whack frame areas are pulled back into position. Your frame will be as good as new, and its structural integrity won’t suffer from being repaired. You can count on Ewald Collision Repair Center to get your car back in its original condition.

Truck Frame Repair in Milwaukee, WI

Truck frames will need repairs every so often because they are meant to tow and carry large loads. While they are built for these kinds of tasks, old age eventually takes a toll on the frame of an often-used truck. Rust is also a common cause of frame damage--and since the rust usually works from the inside out, you may need some extensive work done.

We can take a look at your vehicle and let you know just how much truck frame repair you may need, and we can also give you an estimate of cost and how long it will take. If you’ve been in a collision, we can get the frame straightened out using advanced tools and methods. If rust is the problem, we can remove faulty sections of the frame and replace them by welding in brand new pieces.

If you frame is shrinking or expanding, we’ll take a look at that too--we want your truck to be as structurally sound as possible. Whether you need rail replacement, frame reinforcement, or anything else, give us a call. We love to help Milwaukee drivers get their trucks back in optimal shape.

Jeep Frame Repair

Jeeps are built to play hard and work hard, and as a result of its rugged nature, a jeep will often require significant frame and body repair at some point in its lifetime. The chassis is strong and the body is built to last, but you can’t take a car off-roading for years without needing at least minor repairs to the frame, chassis or suspension.

Our auto frame repair team has seen its share of Jeeps over the years, and we can give you an accurate estimate of the damage to your Jeep’s frame. We’ll even work alongside your insurance company, if need be. Give us a call about your Jeep, and we’ll give you an estimate, prognosis, and time frame. We’d love to get your Wrangler, Liberty, or other Jeep model back on the road! Ewald Collision Repair Center makes it easy for you to refurbish your damaged Jeep.

Jeeps often encounter water and moisture in their offroad adventures, and as a result, rust can be a problem. Have you ever tried cleaning off your frame rails? It’s tough--and as a result, they’re an easy target for rust. Rust usually works from the inside out (because the inside is the hardest area to clean), and that can mean more extensive repairs are necessary.

We can remove the damaged sections of the frame and weld new sections of frame into place. We use quality materials that are just as good as the original, and we promise that your Jeep’s resale value won’t diminish as a result of the replacement parts we use. We can also separate the Jeep’s body from the frame, so Jeep frame repair won’t result in a hefty bill for repainting.
